Nestled at the very center of Dearborn, Michigan, the Dearborn Development Initiative is re-imagining a sprawling 23.15-acre landscape formerly known as the Dearborn Hyatt Regency. Our goal is to elevate this site into an emblematic and vibrant landmark, one that pulses with the life of the city itself.
Our redesign is deeply informed by the site’s architectural legacy and the inherent movement within its space. The redevelopment concept is a dance of fluidity and elegance, leveraging flow lines to direct pedestrian traffic through a series of engaging public spaces, while dynamic lines add an organic beauty, mirroring the undulating forms found in nature. The resulting aesthetic is one of embossed patterns and curvelinear forms that echo the rhythmic patterns of a living ecosystem.
The scope of this project transcends the conventional mixed-use development; it is a bold stride toward urban rejuvenation, fostering lush greenery amidst urban structures. It incorporates cutting-edge clean energy solutions that address public health, promote environmental stewardship, and provide innovative responses to flood control.
This extensive redevelopment will not only increase residential capacity but will also offer a wealth of amenities: abundant parking, diverse rental options, multipurpose event venues, a winter garden, a rooftop infinity pool, and generous green terraces that invite the community to gather, relax, and engage.
